Job summary

Jacobs is seeking Instrumentation and Controls Engineering Interns to join our Life Sciences North America team in various locations. You’ll be responsible for developing P&IDs, specifying instrumentation and valves, and designing PLC-based control systems with networking for control systems.

You will program PLCs/SCADA and provide on-site startup support while collaborating with the discipline lead and team.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Develop P&IDs, specify process instrumentation and valves.
• Design PLC-based control systems and networking for control systems.
• Program PLCs and SCADA systems.
• Provide on-site startup support and coordinate work with staff and discipline leads.
