Job summary

Jacobs is hiring Instrumentation and Controls Engineering Interns to join the Life Sciences North America team in various locations. You will be responsible for developing P&IDs, specifying instrumentation and valves, and designing PLC-based control systems, networking, and SCADA programming.

You will gain mentorship while supporting startup activities, coordinating with staff and discipline leads, and managing tasks to align with client expectations, scope, and schedule.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• On track to obtain Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop P&IDs and specify process instrumentation and valves.
• Design PLC-based systems and networking for control systems.
• Program PLCs and SCADA systems and provide on-site startup support.
• Collaborate with discipline leads and staff to ensure quality and schedule.
