Job summary

A leading construction firm in La Porte, Texas is seeking positive, energetic Instrument Fitters to join their experienced workforce. This role requires applicants to have knowledge of OSHA rules, and the ability to read blueprints and perform tube bending. Minimum 4 years of craft-specific experience is essential. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install instrument stands, headers, and other components.
• Perform tube bending and installation in groups.
• Read and understand loop sheets and P & IDs.

Skills

Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations

Ability to read and understand blueprints

Tube bending skills

Knowledge of high‑pressure valves and fittings

Use of mechanical and hydraulic powered tubing benders

The Position:

We are looking for positive, energetic Instrument Fitters with a wide variety of abilities to complement our experienced workforce. Applicants should have the ability to:

• Knowledgeable in communication and applicable OSHA rules and regulations
• Read and understand loop sheets, P & ID's, and blueprints
• Have the ability to perform tube bending and tube bending in groups
• Be able to Install instrument stands, instrument air headers, instruments, tube tray, screw pipe, decotrace, and steam tracing
• Have knowledge of high‑pressure valves and fittings
• Able to use mechanical and hydraulic powered tubing benders, weld fittings, and pipe specifications

Requirements:

• Ability to meet the cut score on the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Skill Assessment.
• Ability to pass a post‑offer, pre‑employment DISA drug/alcohol test and applicable background checks.
• Minimum 4 years craft‑specific experience.
