Job summary

ISC Constructors, L.L.C. is seeking positive Instrument Fitters to join our team with offices in Baton Rouge, Beaumont, Houston, and Corpus Christi.

Ideal candidates will read loop sheets, P&IDs and blueprints, perform tube bending, and install instrument stands, headers, and related equipment. A background in handling high‑pressure valves and fittings is essential, with NCCER assessment clearance and pre‑employment screenings required.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets loop sheets, P&IDs and blueprints.
• Performs tube bending and collaborates in group settings.
• Installs instrument stands, headers, instruments, tray, screw pipe, decotrace, and steam tracing.
• Knowledge of high‑pressure valves and fittings.
• Operates mechanical and hydraulic tubing benders; welds fittings and follows pipe specs.
• Must meet NCCER Skill Assessment cut score.
• Must pass post‑offer drug/alcohol test and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Read loop sheets, P&ID drawings and blueprints to guide installation and wiring.
• Perform tube bending and assist in group fabrication and assembly.
• Install instrument stands, air headers, instruments, tray, pipe fittings and tracing as required.
• Work with high‑pressure valves and fittings and ensure proper installation.
• Use mechanical/hydraulic tubing benders, weld fittings and verify pipe specs.
• Meet NCCER Skill Assessment cut score and pass pre-employment screenings.

The Position:

We are looking for positive, energetic Instrument Fitters with a wide variety of abilities to complement our experienced workforce. Applicants should have the ability to:

• Knowledgeable in communication and applicable OSHA rules and regulations
• Read and understand loop sheets, P & ID's, and blueprints
• Have the ability to perform tube bending and tube bending in groups
• Be able to Install instrument stands, instrument air headers, instruments, tube tray, screw pipe, decotrace, and steam tracing
• Have knowledge of high-pressure valves and fittings
• Able to use mechanical and hydraulic powered tubing benders, weld fittings, and pipe specifications
• Ability to meet the cut score on the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER)Skill Assessment.
• Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug/alcohol test and applicable background checks.
• Minimum 4 years craft-specific experience.
