Job summary

A leading construction firm in Donaldsonville is looking for positive, energetic Instrument Fitters to enhance their experienced team. Candidates must be knowledgeable about OSHA regulations, possess the ability to read technical documents like blueprints, and have at least 4 years of craft-specific experience. Responsibilities include performing installations and tube bending. The position offers excellent wages and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years craft-specific experience.
• Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug/alcohol test.
• Ability to meet the cut score on NCCER Skill Assessment.
• Read and interpret loop sheets, P&IDs, and blueprints.
• Experience with tube bending and installing instrument components.
• Ability to pass post-offer drug/alcohol test and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Install instrument stands and instrument air headers.
• Perform tube bending and installations in groups.
• Utilize mechanical and hydraulic powered tubing benders.
• Work with high-pressure valves and fittings and related equipment.
• Meet NCCER Skill Assessment requirements and maintain compliance.

The Position

We are looking for positive, energetic Instrument Fitters with a wide variety of abilities to complement our experienced workforce. Applicants should have the ability to:

• Knowledgeable in communication and applicable OSHA rules and regulations
• Read and understand loop sheets, P & ID's, and blueprints
• Have the ability to perform tube bending and tube bending in groups
• Be able to Install instrument stands, instrument air headers, instruments, tube tray, screw pipe, decotrace, and steam tracing
• Have knowledge of high-pressure valves and fittings
• Able to use mechanical and hydraulic powered tubing benders, weld fittings, and pipe specifications
• Ability to meet the cut score on the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER)Skill Assessment.
• Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug/alcohol test and applicable background checks.
• Minimum 4 years craft-specific experience.
