Job summary

Energy Transfer LP is seeking an Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to provide on-site support for construction, plant facilities, and field operations. You will repair, install, troubleshoot, and perform predictive and preventative maintenance on control systems and related equipment across gas and liquid facilities and pipelines.

The role emphasizes safety, compliance with DOT/PSM standards, and hands-on work with SCADA, PLC/DCS, and process controls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with industrial control systems preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT 192/193/195 and OSHA 1910 requirements.
• Ability to use MS Office for reporting and documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and maintenance skills for SCADA and PLC/DCS.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA systems and plant equipment.
• Maintain pneumatic and intelligent instruments and motor control gear.
• Maintain PLCs/DCS and process or safety controls.
• Read manuals and drawings including P&IDs and schematics.
• Perform required testing and documentation to DOT/PSM standards.
• Respond to on-call and emergencies as scheduled.
• Provide mentoring and oversight to junior staff.
