Job summary

Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. is seeking an instrument and electrical technician to provide technical support for construction, plant facilities and field operations.

You will repair, install, troubleshoot, and perform predictive and preventative maintenance on control systems, natural gas compression or pump stations, SCADA, and related equipment. The role requires reading engineering drawings and ensuring DOT/safety compliance, with on-call duties and mentoring of junior staff in a hands-on

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• MS Office Suite including Outlook and Word proficiency.
• Experience with control solutions documentation and safety standards.
• Knowledge of DOT 192/193/195 testing and documentation.
• Familiarity with NEC and OSHA 1910 electrical standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA systems and instrument equipment components.
• Maintain pneumatic and intelligent instruments, electrical distribution, and motor control gear.
• Read manuals, drawings, and schematics including P&ID’s.
• Test, calibrate, and document control and safety devices per DOT/PSM requirements.
• Provide work direction and mentoring to less experienced staff.
• Respond to on-call and emergency issues.
