Job summary

Energy Transfer Family of Partnerships in Midland, TX is seeking an instrument and electrical technician to provide technical support across construction, plant facilities and field operations. You will repair, install, troubleshoot, and perform predictive and preventative maintenance on control systems, natural gas compression or pump stations, SCADA, and related equipment.

The role covers PLC/DCS and process or safety controls, reading manuals and schematics, and ensuring compliance with DOT

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Experience level depends on job level (A/B/C) with stated experience bands.
Valid driver’s license with safe driving record is required.
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and electrical codes applicable to plants and pipelines.

Responsibilities

Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA systems, plant, pipeline, and compressor instrument and electrical equipment.
Install, diagnose, and maintain pneumatic and intelligent instruments, electrical distribution systems, motor control gear, and related software.
Install, diagnose, and maintain PLCs or DCS systems and process or safety controls.
Read and interpret manuals, policy, engineering standards, regulations, drawings, and P&ID’s.
Test, calibrate, and document safety devices per DOT/PSM requirements and ensure maintenance frequencies.
Provide work direction and mentoring to less qualified staff.
Support on-call requirements and safety program participation.
