College of Eastern Idaho in Idaho Falls is seeking WTCE Instructors who are subject matter experts, providing high-quality instruction for adult learners on an as-needed, part-time hourly schedule. Instructors will keep course material current and coordinate content with WTCE staff to align with regional needs.
They may develop training material, deliver community education, and update instructional content, while tracking student outcomes.
Workforce Training & Continuing Education (WTCE) Instructors are generally considered Subject Matter Experts (SME) in their particular field of expertise. WTCE instructors are required to provide high quality instruction for predominantly adult learners. Instructor work hours are based upon an as-needed schedule and are determined by program requirements, but will not exceed part-time hourly employment.
Instructors are expected to keep their course material relevant to their assigned subject matter and maintain standard classroom protocols and procedures. Instructors will coordinate with WTCE staff to develop course content and schedule classes according to instructor availability and regional need. At times, additional technical expertise or certification/licensure may be required to teach particular courses. Instructors will adhere to State and Federal guidelines for proper procedures, practices, and operations when required by subject matter.
Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
On-site work is essential and regular predictable attendance is required. Employees may be required to work at occasional events and handle tasks outside of regular working hours.
Employment at College of Eastern Idaho will be contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background investigation and may require a credit and/or motor vehicle background investigation depending on the position. Please refer to Policy 225: Background Checks
