The College of Eastern Idaho seeks an electrical apprentice instructor to teach in its apprenticeship program. Classes are held Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday from 7pm to 10pm (6 hours weekly).
Instructors may take on extra hours for preparation and admin, teaching both theory and practical electrical work, including code and ongoing CEU topics. Responsibilities include developing curriculum, recording grades, and reporting to the program manager and Idaho’s Division of Building Safety.
The electrical apprentice instructor is responsible for providing classroom instruction to students in the College of Eastern Idaho’s apprenticeship program. Classes are held either Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7pm to 10pm (6 hours per week). Instructors may be assigned additional hours for class preparation and administration as needed. The instructor will teach both the theory and practical applications of electrical systems, as well as electrical code.
Depending on qualifications, instructors may also be assigned to teach continuing education classes such as NEC Code Updates and Electrical Calculations on a semi‑annual basis.
Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not necessarily from occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions. On‑site work is essential and regular predictable attendance is required. Employees may be required to work at occasional events and handle tasks outside of regular working hours.
