College of Eastern Idaho is seeking a part-time Social Media Specialist to shape and grow CEI Workforce Training’s presence across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.   • Confident using digital tools like Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and social media apps.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Outgoing personality with the ability to engage with students and film content on campus.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Social Media Specialist will shape and grow College of Eastern Idaho Workforce Training presence across social media platforms. This creative role is key to telling CEI’s story, engaging the community, and making higher education feel more accessible and exciting. As a part‑time position, it works closely with the Associate Director of Communications, CEI's social media specialist, and creative marketing team to plan, create, and manage content that promotes CEI’s mission, programs, and student life in fresh and compelling ways.

  • Develop, implement, and manage CEI Workforce Training social media strategy
  • Plan, create, and publish content for Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
  • Edit short-form video content for platforms (experience with tools like Edits and CapCut is a plus)
  • Monitor and engage with followers, building meaningful connections and conversations
  • Stay informed on trends, tools, and best practices in social media and digital communication
  • Track and report analytics to help evaluate success and inform future strategy
  • Ensure all content aligns with CEI’s brand standards and visual identity

  • Incumbent must residein Idaho (Currently CEIdoesn’t sponsor Visas)
  • Associate degree in related field
  • Photography and graphic design skills
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
Physical Demands and Work Environment

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.

On‑site work is essential and regular predictable attendance is required. Employees may be required to work at occasional events and handle tasks outside of regular working hours.

Background Investigations

Employment at College of Eastern Idaho will be contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background investigation and may require a credit and/or motor vehicle background investigation depending on the position. Please refer to Policy 225: Background Checks
