Job summary

Central Valley Training Center is seeking an Instructor I to provide direct instruction and supervision for adults with intellectual disabilities. The role involves implementing the agency’s positive behavioral program, ensuring safety, and maintaining documentation.

The Instructor I may serve as a job coach or support patch funding, reporting to the Program Manager, with in-person duties and starting pay of $23.68/hour.

• Clear and timely communication with others.
• Follow written and verbal directions.
• Present information effectively, accurately and thoroughly.
• Listen to others’ information, ask questions, and respond to questions from manager and participants.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct individual and group instruction to participants.
• Supervise participants and implement age-appropriate activities.
• Maintain a safe, non-aversive environment and respond to crises.
• Complete program paperwork accurately and timely.
• Utilize individualized assessments and contribute to team collaboration.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
