Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is seeking an IDD Vocational Instructor to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health/substance use challenges. The role emphasizes daily supervision, documentation, and program implementation in a structured workshop setting.

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with possible schedule changes for activities or outings; payment is $16.91 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• 2 years’ experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license and automotive insurance.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• CPR, first aid, NCI and/or role-specific certification, a plus.
• American Sign Language (ASL) preferred.
• Pre-employment screening: background checks and registry name checks.

Responsibilities

• Identify and establish performance measurement workstations with Department of Labor standards.
• Oversee quality of contract products and services; promote a safe, clean, neat and healthy workplace.
• Implement and monitor formal training programs for people supported in the workshop/classrooms.
• Document progress of work, rates of pay, and timekeeping for production.
• Assist in procuring community contracts by visiting job sites and liaising with community representatives.
• Supervise pre-employment interviewing, training, scheduling, directing work, and performance management.

Skills

ASL (preferred)

CPR/First Aid/NCI certs (a plus)
