Job summary

Central Valley Training Center is seeking an Instructor II to deliver quality instruction to adults with intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviors. The role requires implementing the agency's positive behavioral program and adhering to conduct policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or desirable.
• Experience with adults with intellectual disabilities is desirable.
• CPR and First Aid Certification required.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training preferred.
• Positive Behavior Support Training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction to participants based on abilities and goals.
• Maintain constant supervision and implement age-appropriate activities.
• Respond to crises using approved techniques and good judgment.
• Complete program paperwork accurately and timely.
• Develop objectives and plans aligned with participant goals.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and external partners.
• Plan and document participant outings and meetings.
