Job summary

The YMCA of Metro Denver is seeking a Part-Time Swim Instructor to lead engaging swim lessons for all ages and skill levels. You will help create a safe, inclusive learning environment and build water safety skills with energy, patience, and positivity.

This role offers flexible scheduling—great for students or second jobs—with opportunities for CPR/First Aid training and a supportive aquatics team. A membership benefit and a values-driven culture await at the YMCA.

Qualifications

• Minimum 16 years of age.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications completed within 30 days of hire.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Swim lesson certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging swim lessons for children and/or adults of all skill levels.
• Create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Help participants build water safety skills and confidence.
• Be in the water 50-100% of class time.
• Communicate class cancellations or rescheduling as needed.

The individual will be responsible for providing a safe swim instruction for participants.
