Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Denver is hiring Lifeguards to maintain a safe, welcoming aquatic environment for members and guests. As part of the Aquatics team, you will guard the pool, enforce rules, and deliver exceptional customer service.

You will complete safety checks, assist with swim lessons, and uphold the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. The position offers flexible scheduling, paid training, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
  • Strong swimmer (swim assessment required).
  • Responsible, attentive, and eager to learn.
  • CPR-PR/AED, Oxygen Administration, and Standard First Aid or ability to obtain before hire.
  • American Red Cross/YMCA Lifeguard certification or ability to obtain before hire.
  • High customer relation skills.

The Lifeguard will be responsible for guarding the pool and assuring a safe and clean aquatic environment for members and guests.
