Job summary

The School District of Lee County is seeking an Instructional Support staff member for the Bonita Springs MD CenterForArts location to assist in instructional activities and classroom operations in Fort Myers, Florida.

Responsibilities include supporting teachers, preparing instructional materials, and helping students with study skills while maintaining confidentiality and complying with applicable laws and policies.

Qualifications

• Clear and concise oral and written communication skills.
• Organizational and management abilities.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, Public Records, Sunshine Law, FERPA and related privacy laws.
• Experience with industry-standard equipment and computing tools.
• Ability to respond professionally to customer needs and requests.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the instructional process with students individually or in small groups under supervision.
• Prepare, organize and use instructional aids and technology as directed.
• Support teacher efforts to reinforce positive learning and behavior.
• Help students develop study skills and achieve instructional objectives.
• Engage in parental involvement activities and maintain confidentiality.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent with ParaPro exam

Associate’s degree
