The School District of Lee County is seeking an Instructional Support staff member for Diplomat Elementary School in Fort Myers, FL. This role supports instructional activities, prepares materials, and reinforces positive study skills under teacher supervision.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or associate degree/60 credit hours and ParaPro exam or equivalent. Knowledge of privacy laws and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with passing score on ParaPro Exam.
• Or 60 credit hours or an Associate's degree from an accredited institution.
• Relevant work experience may substitute to satisfy minimum qualifications.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, FERPA and related privacy laws in handling student information.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the instructional process with students individually or in small groups under the supervision of instructional staff.
• Prepare, organize, and use instructional aids, materials, and technology as directed.
• Work with the teacher to reinforce positive learning and behavior patterns.
• Assist students in developing study skills and meeting instructional objectives.
• Support parental involvement activities and maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Duties may include related clerical and recordkeeping tasks and safety procedures.
• Provide translation support if able and appropriate when needed.
• Monitor student activity in cafeteria and other campus locations as directed.
• Assist in Medicaid administrative claims processing as directed.
