Job summary

The School District of Lee County is seeking an Instructional Support (PE) professional for Hector A Cafferata Jr K-8 in Fort Myers, FL. The role supports instructional staff by assisting in the learning process, preparing materials, and supporting students with individual or small group work under supervision.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent (or 60 college credit hours/associate's degree).

Qualifications

Clear and concise oral and written communication skills.
Organizational and management skills.
Knowledge of HIPAA, Public Records, Sunshine Law, FERPA, and other laws/regulations related to student and employee privacy, public information, and records retention.

Responsibilities

Assist in the instructional process by working with students individually or in small groups.
Assist in the preparation, organization, and use of instructional aids, materials, and technology as directed.
Work with the teacher to reinforce positive learning and behavior patterns among students.
Assist students in the development of study skills necessary for learning and in the achievement of instructional objectives.
Support parental involvement activities.
Demonstrate understanding and respect of individual student’s culture and interests.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with laws and policies concerning confidentiality of student information.
Perform related clerical and recordkeeping duties as directed.
