Job summary

Southern Company Gas is seeking an Instructional Designer II to apply adult learning principles to training focused on OSHA, DOT, welding and regulatory requirements for the Field Operations Organization.

You will analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate courses, assessments and job aids, creating storyboards and final learning deliverables aligned with business goals. Collaboration with internal teams is essential to success.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience in related discipline.
• 3-5 years in adult learning or training content development.
• Experience with analyzing, designing, developing, implementing and evaluating instructional materials.

Responsibilities

• Apply instructional design and adult learning principles to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate courses, assessments, and job aids.
• Create instructor-led and e-learning deliverables including storyboards and final learning assets.
• Collaborate with internal and external resources to meet department goals within budget and timelines.
• Incorporate learning analytics to measure success and improve learning solutions.
• Utilize ADDIE and other instructional design methodologies in development and delivery.
