Job summary

PG&E Academy seeks an experienced Instructional Designer to join the Curriculum Development Team in support of Gas Operations learning needs. You will translate business objectives into learning solutions and work with SMEs and stakeholders to ensure employees train to competence.

In this hybrid role, you will participate in Propel SAP modernization and Elevate GIS initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop and measure large-scale training programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in instructional design, liberal arts or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of instructional design, communications, teaching, training, change management or related work.
• Experience leading cross-functional, large-scale learning initiatives.
• Progressive responsibility in advanced instructional design with complex curricula.
• Experience partnering with management to implement learning solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement scalable learning initiatives with impact beyond a single project.
• Use benchmarking and industry standards to guide learning and performance solutions.
• Collaborate across functions to design and produce complex training projects with ROI measurement.
• Develop innovative training tools and approaches to build internal capabilities.
• Create instructional frameworks to support large-scale programs.
• Coach and mentor team members and manage multiple priorities on time and budget.
