Job summary

Napa Auto Parts is seeking an Instructional Designer to design and deliver engaging learning solutions that boost performance and business results. You will craft instructor-led, virtual, and digital courses, write objectives, and create assessments tailored to operator needs.

Collaborating with SMEs and stakeholders, you will ensure quality and adherence to branding and accessibility standards while driving steady project progress and LMS deployment across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning & Development, Communications, Business, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 3+ years of instructional design, e-learning, curriculum development, or talent development experience.
• Knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design models, learner-centered design, and assessment practices.
• Experience developing instructor-led, virtual, and digital learning solutions.
• Proficiency with e-learning authoring, presentation, and multimedia tools; Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Synthesia, or similar tools preferred.
• Experience partnering with SMEs and stakeholders to develop practical learning content and manage feedback.
• Strong project management, organization, writing, and attention to detail; LMS experience required, with Workday Learning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design engaging learning solutions that drive adoption and performance improvement.
• Develop ILT, VILT, e-learning, microlearning, video, job aids, facilitator guides, and participant materials.
• Write measurable learning objectives, curricula, scripts, storyboards, knowledge checks, assessments, and evaluation tools.
• Translate complex content into accessible, learner-friendly training materials.
• Ensure assets meet standards for instructional quality, accessibility, branding, usability, and LMS deployment.
• Collaborate with SMEs, facilitators, business leaders, and cross-functional partners to identify learner needs and validate content.
• Lead content-development discussions, manage feedback, and control approvals to meet timelines.
• Manage design deliverables, timelines, dependencies, and risk within cross-functional teams.
• Maintain organized source files, version control, documentation, and approval records.
