Job Description:
A client is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to support a large-scale training initiative on a 12-month contract basis, with strong potential for extension. This individual will join a small instructional design team and play a key role in developing engaging eLearning content supporting multiple Epic applications and workflows across the organization.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, creative self-starter who can quickly jump into existing projects and produce high-quality deliverables with minimal guidance. Rather than requiring extensive direction, this person will be able to take content provided by educators and trainers, ask thoughtful questions, and independently transform that information into polished learning solutions.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining eLearning curricula, primarily using Articulate Storyline, while leveraging adult learning principles to create engaging and effective training experiences. Candidates should be comfortable building training packages from Epic content and workflows across approximately 20 different Epic modules and applications.
This role requires a strong producer mindset and the ability to create visually appealing, interactive learning experiences using a blend of multimedia, animation, video, voiceover technology, and instructional design best practices. The team is open to innovative approaches and values creativity, provided the training solutions are intuitive, effective, and aligned with learner needs.
Success in this position requires flexibility, adaptability, strong time management skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Candidates must provide a portfolio demonstrating relevant instructional design and eLearning development experience. Individuals whose experience is limited to LMS administration, Microsoft Office Applications training, or Canva-based design work alone will not be considered.
