Job summary

Eightelevengroup is seeking a Learning Experience Designer in Dallas, TX for a 6-month contract. The role blends instructional design, technology, and business impact to create scalable learning journeys.

Responsibilities include end-to-end development of training, varied delivery formats (classroom, virtual, video, LMS), and data-driven improvement. Strong collaboration with SMEs is required and mortgage servicing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience.
  • 2–5 years of experience designing and developing learning content.
  • Mortgage servicing experience.
  • Familiarity with learning development tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and assessing training programs.

  • Creates, updates, and curates training content tailored to various learning styles and business needs.
  • Utilizes data and analytics to measure effectiveness and drive improvements.
  • Innovates learning with new technology to transfer knowledge quickly to modern learners.
  • Designs workshops, role‑playing activities, and hands‑on simulations for skill-building.
  • Owns learning initiatives and tracks development activities across the organization.
  • Partner with SMEs to gather content and ensure learning solutions meet business needs.

Instructional Designer

6-Month Contract/W2

Hybrid (2 days remote)

Position Overview:

The Learning Experience Designer will play a vital role in designing and developing innovative, impactful, and scalable learning solutions tailored to the needs of our organization. This role blends design thinking, technology, and instructional strategies to create impactful and memorable learning journeys that foster team member skill development and drive business results.

In this role, the Learning Experience Designer will collaborate closely with subject matter experts to ensure that learning solutions align with both current and future organizational needs. You will serve as a thought leader in the design and deployment of learning experiences. Success in this position will require a strategic mindset and a commitment to continuously elevating effectiveness to improve quality and impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads the end-to-end development of complex training initiatives, including needs analysis, instructional design, content development, sustainability measures, and evaluation
  • Develops training using a variety of approaches, including but not limited to:
    • Classroom-led instruction for hands-on, in-depth learning experiences
    • Virtual training sessions to engage geographically distributed teams
    • Video-based content for accessible, on-demand learning opportunities
    • LMS-driven e-learning modules for scalable, self-paced training
    • Blended learning solutions that combine multiple methods to maximize effectiveness
  • Creates, updates, and curates training content that is engaging, relevant, and tailored to various learning styles and business needs
  • Utilize data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of learning programs and initiatives, and leverage feedback to continuously improve the quality and impact of our L&D solutions
  • Innovate learning with new technology solutions that leverage cutting‑edge resources that can transfer knowledge quickly to the modern learner
  • Design workshops, role‑playing activities, and hands‑on simulations to enhance skill‑building and application in real‑world scenarios
  • Responsible for training, learning, and knowledge initiatives and projects as an owner, participant, and/or subject matter expert. Reviews and revises current curriculum and training formats, recommending and providing planning for improvements, efficiencies, or redesign based on the results of learning objectives. Tracks learning and development activities across the organization.
  • Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) and team members to gather content, define objectives, and ensure learning solutions meet business needs

Required Skills and Qualifications to excel in this role

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience

Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience designing and developing learning content, with exposure to eLearning tools and methodologies
  • Mortgage servicing experience
  • 1-2 years of project management experience
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with learning development tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, Canva, or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Demonstrated success in developing and assessing training programs (including learning outcomes)
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with diverse teams
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to team success, seeking feedback and continually improving with a desire to continuously learn and grow
