Job summary

Wells Academy is seeking an instructional coach to assist the School Leader in improving instructional quality at both aggregate and classroom levels. You will support teachers by modeling best practices, providing feedback, and supplying resources to raise student achievement.

You will help plan and facilitate professional learning communities, analyze data to guide instruction, and collaborate with staff to map and align curriculum. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Current teaching certificate/license required.
• 3–5 years of teaching experience with proven success in student outcomes.
• Experience leading or coaching teachers.
• Ability to share information on data, curriculum, instruction, and assessment using coaching methods.
• Experience observing classrooms and providing constructive feedback.
• Ability to map and align curriculum.
• Familiarity with disaggregating student data for instructional planning.
• Ability to develop differentiated instructional strategies.

Responsibilities

• Assist the School Leader in improving instruction quality at aggregate and classroom levels.
• Support teachers in planning and delivering high-quality instruction; provide feedback and resources.
• Provide data to support assessments and training for staff.
• Assist in planning teacher collaboration and professional learning communities.
• Develop instructional goals and professional development plans with teachers.
• Observe, review lesson plans, and model effective teaching practices.
• Share resources and best practices to improve teacher effectiveness.
• Monitor implementation of teaching and learning processes in classrooms.
• Advocate for students to ensure quality of education.
