Job summary

The Leona Group is seeking an instructional coach to partner with teachers in improving classroom instruction and student outcomes. You will support planning, deliver feedback, and model best practices to raise instructional quality across classrooms.

Collaborating with the School Leader, you will analyze data, plan professional development, and help teachers implement effective strategies, interventions, and assessments to drive student achievement.

Qualifications

• Current teaching certificate/licensure and 3–5 years of teaching experience.
• Ability to share data, curriculum, instruction, and assessment with staff using coaching processes.
• Experience conducting classroom walkthroughs and observations to identify growth needs.
• Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with the principal and school staff.
• Knowledge of mapping and aligning the curriculum for instruction.
• Knowledge of disaggregating student data for instructional planning.
• Ability to develop differentiated instructional methods for diverse learners.
• Familiar with diagnostic tools and formative assessments.

Responsibilities

• Develop with teachers clear instructional goals and professional development goals based on standards.
• Guide and support teachers in planning high-quality instruction through reflection, collaboration, and shared inquiry.
• Share methods, materials, and resources through modeling to enhance teacher effectiveness.
• Provide meaningful, timely feedback to teachers on instructional improvement.
• Monitor the implementation of teaching and learning processes in classrooms.
• Research instructional resources that benefit individual teachers.
• Employ coaching processes that foster increased autonomy in direction and responsibility.
• Provide guidance with educational programs to achieve programmatic goals.
• Impart a repertoire of teaching methods and intervention strategies.
• Facilitate reflective thinking and active listening to support teacher growth.
• Advocate for students to ensure quality education and meet school goals.
• Promote professional development with school administration.
• Determine research-based resources to improve instructional abilities.
• Maintain consistent communication with the School Leader to share data and observations.
• Other duties as assigned.
