Job summary

Bayer is seeking an Institutional & Specialty Sales Consultant for the Lake Charles, LA area. The role focuses on driving clinical demand, education, and sales to hospitals, health systems, and cardiology/nephrology specialists.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of relevant sales experience, with deep cardiovascular/renal knowledge and strong communication skills. Travel up to 50% within the territory is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of relevant sales experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
• Deep expertise and understanding of the cardiovascular and/or renal therapeutic areas.
• Experience launching new products and product indications.
• Excellent facilitation and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Drive clinical demand, education and sales to educate healthcare professionals and stakeholders.
• Build institutional advocacy to drive formulary/pathway/protocol adoption.
• Develop strategic business plans for top Institutions with local market understanding.
• Demonstrate disease state knowledge and market/competitor awareness.
• Build relationships with key decision-makers at Institutions, Cardiologists and Nephrologists.
• Manage P&T committee processes at priority Institutions.
• Collaborate across teams to pull through partnerships with key customers.
• Support Area General Managers on strategic projects as needed.
• Leverage emerging technologies to improve performance.
