Job summary

Bayer seeks an Institutional & Specialty Sales Consultant for the New Orleans, LA area. The role focuses on driving clinical demand, education and sales within cardiovascular-renal indications, engaging hospitals and health systems, and collaborating with internal teams to advance approved products.

The candidate will travel up to 50% within the territory and must reside in the coverage area. A Bachelor's degree or substantial relevant experience is required, with advanced degrees preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 10 years of relevant sales experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• Deep expertise and understanding of the cardiovascular and/or renal therapeutic area(s).
• Experience launching new products and product indications.
• Excellent facilitation and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet short deadlines.
• Ability to comply with any customer credentialing and safety requirements (e.g., up-to-date vaccinations, trainings).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Drive clinical demand, education and sales, educating professionals and stakeholders on benefits of products.
• Build institutional advocacy to drive formulary/pathway/protocol adoption.
• Develop strategic business plans for top Institutions with local market insights.
• Demonstrate disease-state and marketplace knowledge and analytical rigor.
• Build key relationships with Institutions, Cardiologists and Nephrologists.
• Coordinate P&T committee processes at priority Institutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to pull through partnerships.
• Support Area General Managers on strategic projects.
• Embrace emerging technologies to improve performance.
• Adhere to pharmaceutical industry guidelines and high ethical standards.
