Job summary

Carter Lumber Company in the United States, South Carolina is seeking an Installed Manager to oversee installation services, repairs and remodeling work performed by installers, both employees and subcontractors, and to manage installation schedules.

The role requires strong knowledge of building materials, local building codes and proper installation techniques, along with a strong commitment to customer service and the company’s mission.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of installed sales or related installation experience.
• Strong knowledge of installation methods and process improvements.
• Ability to solve problems by using sound judgment in analyzing, troubleshooting, and evaluating the problem.
• Excellent organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to analyze and provide recommendations to solve problems.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and recruits qualified field personnel and subcontractors.
• Ensures paperwork requirements are met.
• Ensures installers complete work according to the company’s code of conduct.
• Works with the Installed Service Manager to build a strong installed sales team to meet sales and margin goals.
• Schedules and coordinates installed services.
• Works with the sales force to identify installed sales opportunities and makes presentations to customers.
• Researches and identifies market opportunities to grow installed sales.
• Ensures jobs are completed timely and per contract.
• Solves issues with patience and ensures customers receive high-quality workmanship.
• Ensures installers perform safely and OSHA regulations are followed.
• Directs and trains installers to meet regulatory guidelines.
