Job summary

TACFI Consulting LLC is hiring a Military Mailroom Specialist to support the U.S. Army at Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania. This onsite role handles official mail, packages, and sensitive materials with accountability and security.

The ideal candidate has experience in military postal operations or mailroom services, is able to operate with minimal supervision, and can lift up to 70 pounds with proper support. A Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in customer service and postal operations.
• Experience handling mail, packages, and shipping documentation.
• Ability to communicate professionally and work independently.
• Ability to lift and move packages up to 70 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, sort, track, and distribute official mail and packages for USPS, FedEx, UPS and others.
• Process outgoing mail, operate postage meters, prepare shipments, and coordinate daily dispatch.
• Maintain accurate records for registered, certified, insured, and classified mail.
• Support postal operations, including reporting, postage accounting, and system entries.
• Coordinate mail pickup and distribution using a Government-provided vehicle.
• Maintain organized mailroom operations, records, supplies, and equipment.
• Support printing, document reproduction, and administrative distribution needs.
• Maintain procedures and coordinate with Army personnel to meet Government requirements.
