Job summary

Sysco in the United States seeks a General Manager to lead the installation department from planning to turnover, coordinating with General Contractors, Project Managers and executive teams. The GM will oversee daily scheduling, quotes, inventory, and material purchases, ensuring safety and high standards on site.

This role requires strong communication, organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to manage Prevailing Wage with HR.

Qualifications

• Experience leading install teams and coordinating with GC's and PM's.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
• Experience negotiating and coordinating purchases of materials and equipment.
• Prevailing Wage management experience with HR.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day activities of the installation department.
• Support team morale in line with Executive Management expectations.
• Provide PPE and manage facility and security for the installs.
• Recruit, hire, train, develop and mentor staff.
• Monitor productivity and enforce safety regulations.
• Conduct department safety meetings and coordinate RFIs.
• Interface with PMs to define job requirements and materials.
• Ensure paperwork and month-end job costing are completed.
• Assist with on-site installs when needed.
• Build relationships with vendors, GCs, PMs and customers.
• Collaborate with Director of Operations on fleet maintenance.
• Manage per diems and expense reporting.
• Conduct weekly site visits to address safety and training.
• Evaluate month-end profit/loss, quality and efficiency.
