Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks part-time teachers for grades 6-12 who demonstrate strong Bible knowledge and excellent teaching ability. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with effective communication and interpersonal skills, caring, and committed in teaching LifeWise curriculum.

Responsibilities include completing LifeWise training, delivering age-appropriate lessons, maintaining records, and fostering a redemptive classroom environment while engaging with students and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience.
• Active personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training, including LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using LifeWise curriculum and map lesson plans.
• Maintain accurate attendance and class rosters.
• Prepare lesson plans and materials for substitutes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, age-appropriate classroom environment.
• Communicate with the program director and school personnel; build volunteer relationships.
