Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time Secondary Education teacher for grades 6-12. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with strong communication skills, caring and committed to delivering LifeWise curriculum.

Responsibilities include completing training, teaching LifeWise classes, keeping attendance and rosters up to date, maintaining an organized classroom, and engaging with students, volunteers, and program directors while promoting LifeWise's mission in the community.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience in school or church.
• Active personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training; complete LifeWise Teacher Certification Course within 30 days.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using LifeWise curriculum and map out lesson plans.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and class rosters, health concerns, and permissions for substitutes.
• Maintain an organized and encouraging classroom environment with redemptive discipline.
• Communicate as LifeWise ambassador, engage with parents and school personnel, and support student well-being.
