Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a dedicated part-time Secondary Education teacher to bring in-depth Bible knowledge and strong classroom skills to students in grades 6-12. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, who is caring, committed, and proficient in teaching.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience (with students) in either a school or church setting.
• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the 'What We Believe' section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and map out curriculum customization
• Maintain accurate student attendance and class rosters including health concerns and photo permissions
• Prepare lesson plans and materials for substitutes
• Establish a culture that fosters academic pursuits and spiritual growth in the classroom
• Communicate with the program director, school personnel, volunteers, and families to stay aligned with schedules and expectations
