Thermal Devices is seeking an Inside Technical Sales Representative to provide technical sales support for industrial electric heating and process control products. You will prepare quotations, assist customers, process orders, and collaborate with the outside sales team to grow existing accounts.

The role emphasizes technical aptitude, strong communication, and exceptional customer service in a Mount Airy, MD office.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Technical aptitude to quickly learn industrial products and applications.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ERP/CRM experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Respond to inquiries about industrial electric heaters, temperature controls, sensors, and related products.
Prepare quotes, bids, and proposals based on customer requirements.
Process orders and provide status, tracking information, and follow-up.
Provide technical support and product recommendations to customers and the sales team.
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships and identify growth opportunities.
Prospect for new business through outbound calls and follow-ups.
Coordinate with manufacturers on pricing, availability, lead times, and technical data.
Maintain accurate customer and sales activity in the ERP/CRM system.
