Job summary

OneSource Distributors in California is seeking an inside sales representative to handle customer inquiries, process orders by phone and email, and assist in expanding our contractor customer base.

You will quote prices, prepare sales tickets, coordinate with credit, warehouse and management, and maintain strong product knowledge to deliver accurate, timely service and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (A. A.) and two to four years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• High school or equivalent diploma
• Ability to run and maintain projects
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from small groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public
• Ability to perform math functions and interpret figures and percentages

Responsibilities

• Meet customer expectations with each interaction
• Receive customer product orders by phone and email
• Solicit sale of new or additional products by phone and email
• Liaise between customer and internal departments including credit, warehouse, outside sales, and management
• Identify and use pricing systems and catalog references
• Provide quotes or estimates of prices, terms, and delivery
• Prepare sales tickets and record-keeping for shipments
• Estimate delivery dates based on schedules
• Purchase materials following approved procedures
• Follow up on quotations and convert to orders
• Develop product knowledge to assist customers and staff
