Qualifications

• Associate degree and 2–4 years related experience or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret business material.

Responsibilities

• Meet customer expectations with each interaction.
• Receive customer product orders by phone and email.
• Solicit sale of new or additional products by phone and email.
• Maintain professional behavior and positive customer relations.
• Liaise between customer and internal departments including credit, warehouse, and management.
• Identify merchandise according to catalog, vendor, and pricing systems.
• Describe products using samples or catalogs and highlight features.
• Compile prospective customer lists for sales leads.
• Provide quotations and delivery terms for standard and non-standard items.
• Prepare sales tickets with all required details and taxes.
• Estimate delivery dates based on firm schedules.
• Purchase materials following approved procedures.
• Review complaints and coordinate resolutions.
• Prepare correspondence and business reports.
• Offer competitive pricing when required.
• Follow up on quotations to secure orders and inputs for future quotes.
• Develop product knowledge to assist customers and colleagues.
