Job summary

Builders FirstSource, America’s largest supplier of building materials, is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to assist customers with product selection, pricing, and orders. You will enter orders, schedule deliveries, and quote materials for small projects while maintaining strong customer service standards.

Ideal candidates have a GED or high school diploma and at least six months of sales experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and six months sales-related experience or equivalent combination.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are required.
• Familiarity with product pricing, discounts, and basic sales concepts is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist retail customers via walk-in, phone, or email with product selection and pricing.
• Provide material estimates and quotes for small projects (e.g., stairs, decks, fences).
• Enter orders and schedule product delivery.
• Meet daily/weekly productivity goals and assist with store operations.
• Handle customer inquiries and escalate complex issues to senior staff.
• Support store housekeeping, signage, stocking, and inventory control.
