Job summary

Ferguson in Winchester, VA is seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our team. You will prepare pricing proposals, support new sales opportunities, and provide product information to outside sales reps in the Waterworks market.

This role also involves managing the full Order-to-Invoice cycle, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. Training will occur in the warehouse, yard, and at the sales counter, with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in a sales support or customer service role.
• Experience in Waterworks or construction environment is a plus.
• Able to perform physically demanding work.
• Ability to switch between warehouse, yard, counter and admin duties.
• Experience in a target-driven sales environment preferred.
• Develop knowledge of sales techniques such as prospecting, negotiation, and closing.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage detailed pricing proposals and quotations for products and services across projects.
• Support new sales opportunities by monitoring bids, researching projects, and prospecting.
• Provide product and technical information to outside sales representatives.
• Develop and maintain customer documentation with product information and solutions.
• Act as liaison between customers and internal teams for communication and order fulfillment.
• Oversee the full Order-to-Invoice cycle and manage corrective actions and field quality reports.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.
• Maintain regular attendance and perform other duties as assigned.
• Role includes training and working in the warehouse, yard, and at the sales counter.
