Job summary

ABC Supply Co. Inc. is seeking an Inside Sales Associate to assist customers in selecting roofing, siding and window products and to process orders with accuracy. You will respond to calls, enter sales orders, accept payments, and coordinate pickups and deliveries with the warehouse to ensure on-time service.

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of related experience, strong communication, solid computer skills, and a team-oriented mindset focused on service excellence and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Proven ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
• Experience with basic computer systems and order-entry software.

Responsibilities

Specific duties may include:

• Determining customers’ needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions
• Following a product/supply checklist for each customer’s job and up-selling additional products and supplies
• Answering telephones and entering sales orders
• Accepting payment and applying it to the appropriate customer account
• Coordinating customer pick ups with the warehouse
• Following up on deliveries to ensure materials arrived on time with all items accounted for
• Reordering products to keep the store and warehouse shelves well stocked
• Addressing and resolving service concerns, should they arise

Specific qualifications include:

• 1-2 years’ experience in roofing, siding, and windows is preferred (roofing supply sales or site work with a crew)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective time management and prioritization skills
• Basic computer skills
• Positive attitude and team player
• Detail and service-oriented
