Job summary

ABC Supply Co. Inc. seeks an Inside Sales Associate to deliver exceptional service to customers purchasing roofing, siding, and window products. You will determine needs, recommend solutions, process orders and payments, and coordinate pickups with the warehouse.

1–2 years of related experience, strong communication, and a team-oriented mindset are preferred. Benefits include health/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, and generous paid time off.

Responsibilities

• Determining customers’ needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions.
• Following a product/supply checklist for each customer’s job and upselling additional products.
• Answering telephones and entering sales orders.
• Accepting payment and applying it to the appropriate customer account.
• Coordinating customer pickups with the warehouse.
• Following up on deliveries to ensure on-time arrival and accuracy.
• Reordering products to keep shelves stocked.
• Addressing and resolving service concerns.

Specific Duties May Include

• Determining customers’ needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions
• Following a product/supply checklist for each customer’s job and up-selling additional products and supplies
• Answering telephones and entering sales orders
• Accepting payment and applying it to the appropriate customer account
• Coordinating customer pick ups with the warehouse
• Following up on deliveries to ensure materials arrived on time with all items accounted for
• Reordering products to keep the store and warehouse shelves well stocked
• Addressing and resolving service concerns, should they arise

Specific Qualifications Include

• 1-2 years' experience in roofing, siding, and windows is preferred (roofing supply sales or site work with a crew)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective time management and prioritization skills
• Basic computer skills
• Positive attitude and team player
• Detail and service-oriented
