Carter Lumber is seeking an Inside Sales Rep who will be the face of the store, delivering friendly customer service and expert product guidance. You will assist customers, provide estimates, process transactions, and follow up on quotes. You will also support the Outside Sales Reps and help with inventory control.

Salary includes commission with uncapped earning potential. The role emphasizes a people-first approach and strong teamwork in a busy retail environment with building materials

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or customer service is required.
• Friendly, outgoing personality suitable for a people-facing role.
• Excellent communication skills with customers.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with others.
• Willingness to cold call and qualify new leads.
• Familiarity with building materials is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers who walk into the store with product info and recommendations.
• Provide estimates for packages/projects and process transactions.
• Follow up on online quotes and nurture leads through calls.
