Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Inside Sales Rep to be the friendly face customers rely on in-store. You will share product knowledge, provide project estimates, and process transactions with a focus on service excellence.

Responsibilities include following up on quotes, cold-calling to qualify leads, supporting Outside Sales Reps, and helping with inventory control. Salary plus commission offers uncapped earning potential.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or customer service.
• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Effective communication skills.
• Team player mindset.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Help customers in-store with product information and advice.
• Produce estimates for packages and projects and process transactions.
• Follow up on online quotes and qualify new leads through cold calls.
• Support Outside Sales Reps as needed and assist in inventory control.
• Participate in cycle counts and resolve overages/shortages.
