Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Inside Sales Rep to become the face customers rely on in-store. You’ll share product information, advise on project needs, prepare estimates, and process transactions.

You’ll also follow up on online quotes, cold-call to qualify leads, and support Outside Sales Reps while aiding inventory control. Training is provided for our products and POS system, with a commission-based structure that offers uncapped earning potential.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or customer service is required.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills.
• Team player who can help meet sales and profit goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers who walk into the store with product information and advice.
• Prepare estimates for packages and projects and process transactions.
• Follow up on online quotes and cold-call to qualify new leads.
• Support Outside Sales Reps and assist in inventory control via cycle counts.
• Resolve overages/shortages and ensure accurate paperwork.
