Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Inside Sales Rep to be the friendly face customers rely on in-store. You will share product information, offer advice, prepare estimates, and process sales at the register.

In this role you will also follow up on quotes, qualify new leads, support Outside Sales Reps, and help with inventory control. A positive attitude and team spirit are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or customer service.
• Friendly, outgoing personality and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and meet sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers on the sales floor with product information and project needs.
• Provide quotes and estimates for packages/projects and process transactions.
• Follow up on online quotes and qualify new leads; support Outside Sales Reps as needed.
• Assist in inventory control, conduct cycle counts and resolve overages/shortages.
