Job summary

Fluid Power Sales, a subsidiary of Applied Industrial Technologies, is hiring an Inside Sales Representative to establish and expand relationships with current and prospective customers. You will be the primary knowledge base and directly impact customers and the bottom line.

The role requires industrial sales experience, strong technical aptitude, and the ability to work independently. An Associate’s Degree or equivalent inside sales experience is required, and knowledge of pumps, hoses,

Qualifications

• Industrial sales experience.
• Advanced computer and analytical skills.
• Strong technical aptitude with a desire to learn.
• Ability to work independently.
• Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience in an inside sales role required.
• Knowledge of pumps-hoses-fittings-hydraulics is a bonus but not required!

Responsibilities

• Confer with customers and factory representatives to assess equipment needs based on application requirements.
• Achieve sales and profit goals by developing existing customers, opening new business, and customer retention.
• Conduct sales and customer service activities, develop strong customer relationships, identify product applications, and introduce new products and services.
• Prepare quotes and proposals, follow up, and negotiate terms, and close transactions.
