Job summary

Rexel USA in Asheville, NC is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to drive proactive inside sales and nurture customer relationships. You will process quotes and orders, respond to technical questions, and pursue new growth from the existing customer base.

The role requires 2+ years in customer service or sales in electrical distribution, with a High School diploma. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP and CRM tools, plus strong communication and problem-solving skills, will help you succeed

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service, sales, or electrical distribution experience.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Process telephone orders by quoting prices, delivery specs, and payment terms; offer substitutes as appropriate.
• Assist outside sales by processing priority transactions.
• Utilize company digital tools to sell, market, promote, demonstrate products and answer technical questions.
• Prospect for new accounts within a specified territory.
• Manage a defined customer base and maintain relationships.
• Learn and evaluate customer operations to identify objectives and preferences; close orders and resolve issues using root-cause analysis.
• Process quotations/proposals and provide follow-up through purchasing cycle.
• Gather and report market and product information to management.
• Participate in product meetings and training to enhance knowledge.
• Pursue product applications using internal resources and vendor reps.
