Job summary

United Rentals, the world's largest equipment rental provider, seeks an Inside Sales Rep to drive branch revenue through rental and sales of specialty equipment. You will support customer relations, telemarketing, and collections while coordinating with the branch team to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires strong customer service orientation, sales experience, and engineering aptitude to size and quote complex projects. A degree is preferred and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education (Bachelor's degree preferred).
• Strong customer service orientation and sales experience/skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word and Excel).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Engineering aptitude: ability to size, quote, install and maintain large projects across varied systems.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Establish understanding of the rental business for specialty engineered products and services.
• Establish new rental and sales accounts through telemarketing and serving call-in customers.
• Process rental quotations, reservations, contracts and invoices per policy.
• Educate customers on proper equipment usage and safety procedures.
• Ensure accuracy of all contract information in the system.
• Coordinate daily equipment pickups and returns.
• Run reports to monitor equipment and facilitate operations.
• Coordinate with branch staff to deliver customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of branch assets.
