Foundation Building Materials (FBM) is seeking an Inside Sales professional to build strong customer relationships with expert guidance and exceptional service. From the front counter to tailored solutions, you will be at the heart of our success across the United States and Canada.

You will maintain up-to-date product knowledge, handle quotes, manage orders, and coordinate deliveries while supporting showroom operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years inside sales experience (incoming call preferred).
• Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone manner.
• Ability to focus on different tasks and use time efficiently.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems.
• Warehouse work includes forklift experience/training.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service & Sales Support: maintain professional, courteous communication with customers before, during, and after sales; provide product knowledge and generate quotes; assist walk-in customers and handle inquiries or complaints; drive profitable sales via upselling and cross-selling.
• Order Management & Communication: enter orders, pricing, and customer data; respond to orders and quotes via multiple channels; collaborate with outside sales reps and internal teams.
• Inventory & Showroom Operations: maintain stock, organize showroom, support inventories; coordinate inbound/outbound deliveries and shipping; negotiate freight rates and manage inventory movement.
• Cash Handling & System Use: operate and balance cash drawer; use management software for billing, reporting, and project tracking.
• Product & Project Knowledge: maintain up-to-date product expertise; manage documentation for large or complex projects.
• Logistics & Operations Coordination: coordinate deliveries with Operations; coordinate purchase and delivery of special products.
• Trainings: attend all required meetings and training programs.
• Miscellaneous: support Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Integrity, and being a Company of Choice.
