Job summary

Carter Lumber Company is hiring an Inside Sales Rep to be the friendly face customers rely on in-store. You will provide product information, advise on project needs, and process transactions with pricing estimates. You’ll also follow up on online quotes, qualify new leads, and assist inventory control.

Salary is supplemented by commissions, with room for growth within a family-owned company that values people-first service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or customer service
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Team player with a customer-first mindset
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful but not required

Responsibilities

• Assist customers as they enter the store and share product information
• Provide guidance on project needs and prepare estimates for packages/projects
• Process transactions and follow up on online quotes
• Support Outside Sales Reps and assist in inventory counts to resolve discrepancies
